Roseville 1920s Flower Pottery Bowl

Description

Vibrant colors still present on the outside of this lovely Roseville pottery piece. This line is called “Corinthian” and was produced in the 1920s. It has a pretty fluted design around the base of the bowl with green in the grooves, a pretty orange, blue, and green border around the main portion, and a garland type grooved top rim with green in the grooves.

This bowl shaped flower arranging dish measures just under 7.25″ wide and stands about 3.25″ tall.

There is no makers stamp or mark which is normal for this particular line – they are either stamped with a blue RV or have no mark at all.

Note: Crazing present as well as normal manufacturing issues such as glaze skips, etc. Inside the bowl there is some kind of coating that’s not original – we are not sure what it is or what it’s from but when being cleaned it has a fine sandy quality and comes away without damaging the glaze under.
