Honey Colored Blown Glass Carafe with a Gorgeous Filigrana Handle Art Glass

Description

This art glass carafe (or vase!) is one of those that you can try to capture the beauty of the glass but the photos don’t truly do it justice.

This is hand-blown glass- you can see the different techniques the artist used especially within the handle. If you look closely it’s got the darker brown/amber glass in the center and clear glass encasing it – photo #2 has a closeup of this and the technique is called “filigrana”.

The flecks you see on the glass are teeny little air bubbles within the glass and has a pontil mark on the bottom.

Note: There is a rough spot – possible loss of glass – where the handle meets the body of the carafe on top.
