French Choisy le Roi Faience Cup and Bowls Strawberries Motif

Description

Bountiful strawberries, blossoms, and leaves decorate these beautiful French majolica antiques.

This is for one coffee cup and two bowls by Choisy-le-Roi faience factory of Choisy-le-Roi, France.

Makers mark stamped on bottom indicates these were produced from 1860 until 1910. Their items were commonly marked with a black ink stamped “Choisy-le-Roi” with the large “B”.

The “HB” stands for Hippolyte Boulenger a director at the pottery factory.

NOTE: There is staining under the glaze in all three items and some small chips out of the rims. Looks to be a small hairline in one of the bowls – they still hold water.
