Antique Hand painted Nippon Porcelain Tea Cup and Saucer Pale Yellow Flowers with Gold Gilt Accents

Delicate Porcelain Tea Cup and Saucer hand painted with Daisies and Gold Gilt details. This cup and saucer date to around 1922 or earlier according to the marks on the bottom of the cup.

Beginning in 1891 foreign imports to America were required to be marked with the country of origin in English. Items marked with “Nippon” date to that time frame. This requirement changed in 1922 and the wording was changed to “Japan”.

Please note: this cup has a chip out of the rim near the handle as shown in Photo #5.
