The bowl measures: Length: 6.3 in – Width: 5.7 in – Height: 3.3 in
Designed with lovely blues on a creamy white background – mildly abstract flowers really glow on a solid warm and full white for the base color of the bowl.
“Brilliance” Pattern is hand painted on the outside and the inside of this leaf shaped bowl.
About The Artist:
Stig Lindberg (1916-1982) is one of the most renowned designers of Swedish ceramic art of the 20th century. He is well-known for his constant creativity and exceptional eye for shapes, proportions and patterns. Lindberg is represented at the Swedish National Museum of Art and Design. Stig Lindberg’s series of playful leaf dishes and bowls were designed in the 1940s and hand decorated in the Gustavsberg studio using a variety of patterns and glazes.”

Signed with the symbol of the hand for the Gustavsberg Studio ceramics and the painters mark, a bird , for the faience painter Helinä Pitkänen circa 1950s.
